Beaver Dioramas

Do you know what kind of structures beavers make? We do...they make dams and lodges. We have been busy beavers ourselves, constructing beaver habitats inside of shoeboxes! First, we had to paint the shoeboxes. Once they were dry, then we could get to the important work of making our habitat. We used twigs to make the dams, lodges and trees and modelling clay as mud to hold everything together, and to make our furry little friends....Canada's national animal, the beaver!

Popcorn Sale!!!

Congratulations to our grade 4s who held a very successful popcorn sale this week. They had a lot to do to prepare for this big event. They had to do advertising (poster, school announcements and word of mouth), set up (tables, price posters, organizing the popcorn bags), sell (3 days after school), sort, count and add up the money, and, finally, hope to see if we made a profit!
